Hello. I am a new member, though I've been browsing the JRA forums for years.

The stars are finally aligning and it's time for me to get a boat. I plan on living aboard and cruising with the next three years tentatively planned for FL, Bahamas and the Caribbean.

I'm hoping by putting this out there something magically pops up.

Thanks Dennis. I found that boat on my daily Craigslist search as well. It’s a little bigger than I’m looking for but I do have my eye on it.

I have also started considering boats outside of my preferred search area as well.

I'm in Arizona for another 3 weeks and then I get to start looking at boats in person. Pandemic permitting.

Thank you Hans-Erik. I plan on checking out David’s Badger in a few weeks as soon as I can get up to New England.

I’ve heard mixed things about ferrocement. My lack of knowledge scares me away from this Hull material.

Tomorrow I'll be closing on a Nonsuch 26U which means I'm no longer looking for a junk rigged boat at this time.

However, I do have aspirations of long term, blue water cruising and will need to upgrade at some point.

This of course, is if my trial run of living aboard and coastal cruising suits me and I can figure out a way to sustain such a lifestyle after the savings dry up.
