    Roger Dickinson tells me that he is selling Gecko.

    From his listing on Ebay:

    "This beautiful craft was hand built by a professional shipwright for his personal craft , due to a big change in his personal circumstances I was able to aquire the boat but it is now time for me to pass on the ownership to a new lucky owner .
     The 26ft by 9ft hull is based on the North American Dory shape with a coachroof deck giving a large interior volume constructed in epoxied marine ply over hardwood frames . Four berths with a possability of two as a double .
    The sail is Junk rigged , 321sq ft. designed by Boswell Designs and cut by Chris Scanes of Sails and Canvas, with rigging by Sunbird Marine Services .
    For those not acustomed to the Junk Rig you can reef down in seconds almost , from the safety of the cockpit , accidental gybes are no longer a hazard due to the balanced action of the sail . Apart from anchoring there is very little reason to go forward . A good read is Annie Hills book (Voyaging on a Smal income) the boat is very much a scaled down version of the two masted ''Badger'' that her and Pete Hill sailed in .

    Roger Pateman recently bought Gecko from Roger Dickinson and has asked me to post the following on his behalf:

    "Unfortunately I have had a big financial setback so need to sell, having only owned the boat for a few weeks. I was planning to take the boat through the European canal system which is now on hold. The boat is on hard standing in Sussex Yacht Club, Shoreham-on-sea. Ben Coe the yacht club yard foreman has the keys to Gecko as I live 240 miles away. Robin Blain of Sunbird Marine Services is acting as the broker, and is about to put it on his website.

    I would like some advice from someone more knowledgeable: living in Trondheim, I would have to add quite a bit of insulation to Gecko....
