Hi,
Does any one have a rigging plan for a Venturer. We have just bought our Venturer but the mast was raised by the yard selling it and have not rigged it correct from what I can see. While all the rigging seems to be there it seems messed up and I only have three ropes back to the back from the mast.and non left at the base of the mast. I have the plan ffor a orromandel and junk rigged Corribee but it does not resemble these at all. Was there a change of rigging for the Venturer does any one know ????
Many thanks ,
Peter
Peter, When I bought my Nor'sea 27 I was faced with a similar - possibly worse - set of misriggings. All I could think of to do was carry PJR out to the boat every day, buy lots of rope, blocks, cleats, and epoxy, and go for it.
Strangely, Im going to wind up with about what you describe. I will be cleating my topping lifts at the foot of the mast, which leaves halyard, yard hauling parrel, and luff hauling parrell, all coming back on the right.
I should and probably will put a burgee halyard on too.
I hope there's nothing I left out. I'm getting close to a launch.
Wishing you the best.
