Finally have more time to check in after working to rebuild an old farm house for the last five months. It feels really good to see Annie's wishing and dreaming and the ideas and difficult design work take shape in the shop.

Having "built" Edmond Dantes, ( I got the hull and deck assambled) I am a keen follower. It took 3 years, (I was working daytime). A friend of mine told me it would take 3 years. 2 years of working, and 1 year of thinking/ problem solving. He was right. Siblim is not my kind of boat, but still very interesting.

I realise that taking photos and uploading them can become a real "chore"...but it is wonderful to see it all coming together...I am sure there are plenty of people checking in on a regular basis to see the progress. So, thank you!

So ... just who is checking in on a regular basis? How many followers of the SibLim project are there? Don't lurk, post a comment or two in this topic!

And me - very inspiring to see it all come together and good encouragement for my own project, so thank you!

    Adrian,

LibreCAD works well with David's dxf files, and is open source and available for Linux, Windows and OSX.

David, I have downloaded the dxf files and tried using a free cad program to view them.

I am not getting any dimensions or detailed information on them, maybe due to various layers not being turned on. Will investigate further.  Can anyone recommend a good CAD program to use? (preferably one not too expensive) Thanks.
