The Hunter Boats "Impala" and I think the "Sonata" had an offset outboard well as standard. See if you can find one near Plymouth to look at.

I've been looking at engine options for Mariposa.  I don't have enough cash to fit a new inboard diesel and I've been offered a newly new Honda outboard for free.  Because of the stern and aft deck arrangement on the Contessa fitting an outboard bracket is not a satisfactory solution although it has been done by others.  There are two small lockers, one either side of the cockpit and I'm thinking that one of these could be turned into an outboard well.  Anyone had experience with offset outboard wells?  Any tips? What not to do etc.
