Lovely looking sail, B&M.  I like the red stripe.  That twist right at the bottom isn't unusual.  Even Ketil's gorgeous sail has a hint of it.  You must be excited!

And Gary - just a couple of weeks from getting your mast in.  I mean what's two weeks in how many years?

Barry, congrats, well done. Reply in haste. Including images in posts isn't always reliable, so we tend not to do it. Links to photos should work though, and yours above do for me. However there is another way, which David set up before he sailed for Hawaii. If you look beneath the Technical Forum button in the menu (left) you'll see a 'Technical forum illustrations' button. Cliick on it and all should be clear: there's an 'Upload' button there. You can then edit your post above and refer people to your images. Links to them should work too, like this one.

I've hoisted Flutterby's mizzen sail (finally!) after waiting way too long since I sewed it together. Here are three pictures:

First hoist, with just some loose parrels, the yard hauling parrel and topping lifts rigged
First hoist pic in my gallery here

"Second" hoist (even though I had hauled stuff up and down the mast at least six times by then) with a complete set of Slieve's spanned downhaul/parrels, hong kong parrels, and sheeting rigged
    Second hoist in my gallery

At this point I noticed that I was getting some serious twist/distortion in my bottom panel.

Since I don't want to sail off the dock here I won't be sheeting it in hard and seeing what happens when I actually try to sail, but I've got a few ideas that I might try out if this problem is confirmed in my test sails...but I'll leave that for another day.

Main sail (split rig) is next, and I've got quite a bit to do before I can get it to the stage the mizzen is at today.

Edit: I wanted to include the pix in the body of this message and that didn't work. Can somebody remind me how to do it with pix from the gallery here? I found how to put in links, but they don't show up as images.
