Quite a bit of suspense, on how many will come. I will be sailing from Gouldsboro (a few days sail east of the junket location) setting out on September 3, or as soon as weather permits. If anybody is coming from further east and wants to join up along the way, that would be great!

I had really hoped to drive up to the NE junket but am afraid work (trying to deliver a large yacht to Florida....hope there are docks left) gets in the way.

Good luck and I look forward to seeing and hearing about junk activity in the New England area.

    Hi David,
So sorry that it won't work out for this time – and hoping that indeed there are docks left where you are going. Hopefully next year… Or if you are coming to Maine some other time, let us know, and come say hello!
    Cheers,
    Shemaya

    Hi everybody,

It's looking like we're going to have good weather for the junket this weekend, and a good group planning to be here. Not much wind is forecast, but considering how often the actual weather is the opposite of the forecast, that might be a good sign!

    Here's the plan, so far:

    Friday
Meet at the float at Tom Cod Cove, at Holbrook Island Sanctuary, from midday on. If you have folding camp chairs, do bring them, along with snacks to share if you feel like it.

    Saturday
Sailing and lunch, in whichever order makes sense with the weather – maybe sailing, lunch, and more sailing! Discussion is on for somebody with a motor to make a run to Castine for takeout food to bring back for everybody (pay for your own). Tide is contrary for sailing over together, unfortunately… Raft up on mooring in Tom Cod Cove for lunch.

    Sunday
Sail together in the morning? See what happens about who is leaving when. Make plans for next year :-)

Looking forward to seeing all who can make it!

Best of luck, Shemaya.  I hope you have a good turnout and wonderful weather.  It sounds like it should be a lot of fun.
