As you will be gathering, Pete (Hill) will be here in Tasmania before flying out to the January Junket in NZ.

He and I have discussed holding a small Junk Rally here in Tasmania on the weekend of the 2-3 January.

We will have (at least) two junk rig catamarans (China Moon and Oryx), and I circulate this to gauge interest among other junkophiles in Australia, who may wish to join us in  the Tamar River in the North of Tasmania for a small rally.

The happy coincidence is that the fleets of the Sydney to Hobart, Melbourne to Hobart and Launceston to Hobart ocean races will be in Tasmania at this time, and many yacht lovers may wish to be in Tasmania for the associated spectacle and festival, perhaps one or two, interested in junk rig, may take the opportunity to join us for a weekend of sailing and social activities.

Details are not finalised, and will be accommodating and flexible, but the dates are available, and we will be here.
