Our beloved Seadragon2 is reluctantly for sale (asking price $120,000 US, but negotiable)

Seadragon has been our life and home for the past 12 years, building, launching, cruising and just living the life.  She is the topic of an article in the current JRA magazine - Issue 73.

She is currently in Pangkor, Malaysia - but will be in Langkawi by the end of March. We would love to see her out on the water again with her next family, enjoying more adventures.  Look forward to hearing from anyone with an interest in our beautiful yacht and we are happy to chat or answer your questions.

Built in Maryborough, Qld (about 3 hours north of Brisbane). Started in 2005 and launched in2011.

 The hulls are Simpson design, 9mm ply above and 12mm ply below the waterline with 3 layers of 300 DB glass over above and 4 layers under the waterline. The whole boat is epoxy coated, no polyester or vinylester were used anywhere in the build.

 The decks and cabin are constructed from polycore, a honeycomb cell structure material, glassed on bothsides.

 The rig is a bi-plane junk; 2 free standing masts with a 512 square foot junk sail on each mast. We found it to be a great cruising rig with the ease of handling and reefing associated with junk rig. Yes, she tacks unassisted in all of the conditions we have encountered.

 The engines are two Tohatsu 18hp two stroke outboards.

 Seadragon was launched into the Mary River in Maryborough in May 2011. After launching we sailed south to Port Macquarie, NSW for sea trials, then back to Maryborough. We left Maryborough in April 2012 and sailed up the east coast, up and over Cape York, across the Gulf of Carpentaria to Gove then to Darwin where we joined the 2012 Sail Indonesia Rally.

 We cruised through Indonesia for 3 ½ months then to Singapore for 2 weeks before heading up to Malaysia. Seadragon remained in Malaysia and Singapore for the next 3 years, sailing between Singapore in the south and Langkawi in the north. In total I think she has logged around 7,000 sea miles. She is currently en route from Pangkor, Malaysia to Langkawi, Malaysia.
