Bill, that is a very kind offer.  However, David and I came to a satisfactory deal and I now have my copy.  I think, perhaps, we should tell more 'newbies' about it: it's far less daunting than PJR for those who are not used to making things for themselves!

Jonny, there must be some sort of conspiracy: I just Googled it again on Amazon: they had 11 used from $89.97 and 3 new from $194.74!  But as Mal pointed out below, it's also available on Kindle for $10.26. (Not that I buy Amazon e-books - I'm a Kobo girl myself.  All these prices, as I've found out the hard way, are in US$ even though they know I'm in NZ.  It's all very bizarre.  However, thank you very much for your offer.  Much appreciated.

However, David Thatcher very kindly sold me his copy - not realising that he could have made a small fortune out of it.  Don't tell him!!!  It's a good wee book and I think it would be a lot less daunting to beginners than PJR.  Unfortunately, his rigs are all pretty massive, which might discourage those with light-weight boats.  Thank heavens for the JRA where there are knowledgeable people to help you with those and many other issues.
