I bought Aletheia from Daniel Collins a year ago in Halifax, Nova Scotia, after he had converted her to a junk schooner and documented it well on this site.

My wife gave it a year, and living on a sailboat is not what she wants, so we are moving back to land and selling the boat. Daniel did great work, all systems continue to work precisely as designed. I've made a few improvements, such as adding a converter so the electric motor can be run as a hybrid, directly from the gasoline generator. That system is easily expandable should a future owner desire.

Boat sale includes all equipment for cruising. I am regretfully moving back to land. The boat is in excellent condition.

She is a beauty. Good luck with your sale!

One suggestion: You should put more specs in the ad as to what type of boat she is: type , model , year , keel etc.

Any potential buyer will want and need to know.

    good luck,

    Jonny

    Good thought Jonny, thank you.

The hull is a 1978 Allied Princess. Modified full keel of roughly 6,000 pounds encapulated lead. Bunks for 6. Length is 36' (11 meters), beam is 11 feet (3.2 meters), draft is 5 feet (1.5 meters).

I have reduced my asking price for Aletheia to US$33,250. Any US sailors looking for a completely outfitted Junk Schooner, ready to go anywhere, have found her. She is in Florida now, ready for her next adventure.

Looks like a great boat! What kind of headroom is there in the main cabin? I'm 6'5" and am looking for something that I can fit in. Also what kind of insurance did you have on her? I've heard some Junk Rig conversions are hard to insure. Many thanks,

    Jono
