    Hello,

Interested in junk rig project or potential conversion around Kent area.  For drying mooring so shoal draught/long keel needed.  Willing to do plenty of work as poor, lol.

    Thanks Mark

    Mark

I have been contacted by a non-member who is selling his junk-rigged Newbridge Venturer as a project. He is in Canvey Island, and I can give you his contact details if you are interested.

    Hello Chris,

Thank you for forwarding the contact on to me.  I will hold out for a boat with inboard diesel, my current yacht has an outboard and I am increasingly unhappy with it.  Please keep me in mind if anything else comes up, even hulls ripe for conversion!

    All the best,

    Mark

How ironic: one of the things I want to do is to get rid of the complexity, weight and invasiveness of an inboard diesel engine on a small boat!

I have just gone from a boat with an inboard diesel to one with an outboard. I couldn't be happier with the change. It is an 18hp 2-stroke Tohatsu, an unknown quantity when I picked up the 28' boat in the south of France & brought it back to Plymouth.

It has been a totally reliable starter and runner, and I don't think I'd ever go back to an inboard on a boat of this size or less.
