I have now done two trips around the Scottish islands, getting as far as Barra in the Outer Hebrides, covering around 400 nm.

She is lovely sailing boat, but I have decided that for a number of reasons she is not for me long term.

If anyone is interested in a small ocean worthy boat, especially if you have intentions of serious voyaging, get in touch.

She comes equipped as Roger passed her to me, so that includes:

Very good custom four wheeled road trailer.

    Windpilot light self steering

    Jordan drogue

she will also have a small outboard and a depth sounder which I have added.

For price and any other details please message me directly. I will sell her for what it cost me.

So why doesn’t she totally suit me.  (All boats are a compromise!)

I keep her at Kinlochleven, which is about 30 nm away from the ‘sea’ and whilst she makes steady progress upwind, it can be rather slow, and with a couple of tide gates to pass, I have ended up motoring far more than I (or Mingming) likes.
She is a little on the small side, though with some internal restructuring she could comfortably take two.
How I am using her is somewhat different to Rogers, and I feel it wrong to start modifying her too much.
I also have a catamaran that I am slowly renovating, and I have to admit that whilst I find sailing Mingming a joy, cruising is so much more comfortable not leaning over. And difficult to avoid the temptation of  enjoying Mingming rather than getting on with the work.
