I'm in the process of buying the boat now. I have seen a number of posts about Blue Moon and a had a look at it. Just in case Graham is still following this, do you know if there are any drawings of the rig that would explain its functions? I think I have worked most of it out, but a diagram of the rigging would certainly help.

The boat hasn't been sailed much over the past few years and the current owner is not very familiar with the rig either.
Any help or tips would be much appreciated.

Hi, I am  in Mooloolaba at the moment but hope to sail down into Moreton Bay early October for the summer.  If You buy Blue Moon, I can certainly help you familiarise yourself with the rig.  There were no drawings, apart from the sail plan that Paul Thompson (fellow JRA member in NZ) drew up to make the sail.   I rigged it according to standard Hasler / McLeod practices, possibly slightly modernised.  In the meantime, you are welcome to email me with specific questions or call me. I will give you my phone number if you email me.  The person I sold BM to made a few changes without any experience, which might need sorting out, including adding extra solar panels that might interfere with the sheet when gybing, but they will all be minor issues.  The boat has not been saild, as far as I know, since I sold it in 2021.
