Caber a GRP Vertue 2 was commissioned in 1990 by the first owner Vincent Reddish, and was built/fitted out by Bossoms of Oxford to Lloyds rules, including 3 berths a unique pilot house and strengthening to the foredeck to accommodate a keel stepped, unstayed mast and Junk rig. For those who don't know, Vincent Reddish built and designed his own rig, now established as the Reddish rig, based on Chinese Ocean Trading Junks with a low aspect ratio fan shaped sail and sail area equivalent to the Bermudan rigged Vertue. We purchased Caber in 2002 and have cruised the Irish coast to S.W and N.W and around the Scottish coast including the Western and Northern Isles.
Caber is now for sale at £18000 and is in commission lying near Oban, Argyll, going ashore early October.
