I got interested in the subject  of junk rigs a couple of years go and made a rig to go on a laser i own. I t worked quite well. It is a split rig with main and jiblet in five panels adding up to about 5 sq mtr

i dont now have the time to take this work any further and the whole rig-not the laser- is available to anyone interested in taking the experiment further.

Using the mast step frame which ws built for the laser it could probably be mounted fairly easily on any small 12-15 ft dinghy or just used for on shore airflow experiments to try to understand why the split srig works so well. -as demonstrated by Slieve McGalliard with his cruiser "Harry"

Toi see a tiny picture click on my name. If interested send me an email. I am in Eversley in Hampshire.

Your first post, John? It really is good to see new members getting stuck in so quickly. Welcome to the JRA, and I hope your junk-rigged Laser finds a new owner soon.
