With regret Felicity and I have decided to sell Ivory Gull.

28' Lone Gull 2 - pilot house (loco cab) version
    Junk schooner
    Designed by Maurice Griffiths
    Fitted out by David Tyler
    Long keel with bilge plates
    GRP hull with encapsulated ballast
    20hp Beta auxiliary diesel engine
    Refleks diesel cabin heater
    6' tender on davits

Light and airy below, safe, dry and comfortable at sea. A pleasure to sail. Probably the loveliest junk-rigged yacht in England - but then I would say that, I'm biased.

    Photographs in my album.

Currently lying on the River Hamble, Hampshire, England. Mid-river pontoon berth close to Universal Marina is available by arrangement to the expiry of the current tenancy agreement, November 2013.

Please contact me direct at selling.ivory.gull@blowq.com.

    £25,000

Sale agreed. In 24 hours. Is this a record for selling a boat through the JRA website?

Well done, Gerry - sad but good news, I guess. She's the first boat sale through the site that I've become aware of. Shame the JRA doesn't get a broker's fee!

All change! The sale has fallen through so we're back on the market.

I intend to be at Lymington on Friday in plenty of time for the AGM and anyone wishing to view from then until Sunday will be very welcome. My mobile number is available through my profile on this site or email to selling.ivory.gull@blowq.com.

Ivory Gull has now been on the market for almost two years, and it's been a pretty static market. So in line with what boats of her size have actually been selling for recently we're reducing our asking price to offers in the region of £15,000.

The price has not yet been adjusted on the front page of Sunbird Marine's brokerage site but the correct price is shown on her details page.

    Happy hunting.

Ivory Gull has now been sold and will shortly be taking up residence among the Devon Chapter of the West Country Junkie Mafia. Thanks to everyone who showed an interest in this beautiful boat and I wish following winds and smooth waters to her new owners.

    With best wishes,

    Gerry.

That is very good news, Gerry.  I hope her new custodians have lots of wonderful sailing in her.

Yes, good news, for you, Gerry, and for Ivory Gull. So she'll be within easy reach of the Isles of Scilly, one of her favourite places (and mine). She likes to hang out in the bay to the south side of Tean, and in Green Bay, Bryher, those being too shoal for fin keelers.
