Anyone in Murcia, Spain?

An old friend has left me a boat, and I have no idea if it is likely to be an asset or a liability.  The boat in question is Upik, a Challenger 35.  She has been abandoned for at least 3 years and I believe that the foremast, broken 20 years ago, has never been replaced.  No sails.

The boat is lying at San Pedro del Pinatar, in the marina.  If anyone is in the area and could be bothered to take the detour to look at the boat, I'd really appreciate.  Photos would be fantastic.

I live in New Zealand, about as far from Spain as you can get, and really cannot afford to fly over to do anything about the boat, unless I can be fairly sure that I'll get my money back!  I'm desperate to find out something more about her.

If you don't get any responses Annie I could put the word out on the WoodenBoat forum if you like.

    Hi Annie

I believe I know a man who can. I have a sailing friend who ownes a property very near there but is not planning to visit again until around October. He would be happy to 'drop by' with a camera for you, but we think there are a few things to consider first. I suggest you contact me off web to discuss the situation.

    Cheers,  Slieve

PS. Please Mr Webmaster, I'm still getting continuous security warnings when I visit the JRA website. Do you know if it is my system or the website? (Off topic, I know, but probably not worth starting a new thread for).

Annie I was just thinking, if the boat is in a marina could you get one of the staff to send you some photos?

Slieve, Arnie, Jonathan - as far as I can see you should only get a security warning when you use the site to visit a page which is offsite, eg Box. This will be because you're moving from a (now) secure page on our site to an insecure page elsewhere. If you've seen it occur elsewhere when still in our site, please let me know where in the 'Wild Apricot' topic on the' JRA, its magazine and website' forum. Thanks.
