The only exam will come from mother nature ;-)

Good luck with the launch! A momentous day indeed.

The engine is still not running but being a horizontal cylinder I'm wondering if there is a build up of oil in the cylinder head. It certainly blew a good bit out when it ran backwards yesterday. I'm wondering if I should build myself a Yuloh to get down the river if I can't get it going before the launch.:)

The truck is booked but now I have to see if I can get the crane out here to load it. My fuel tank is held up in the post so I'm botching in a small Honda generator fuel tank to get me down the river to Tweed Heads.

Today was Boat Exits Shed Day but unfortunately Redwing may be aquaphobic. We managed a measly 3 feet. So I have resorted to Plan C which was removing the shed roof so that a crane can get at it. I will find out on Saturday what the next step shall be. Meanwhile I shall keep working on the list and dressing the mast.
    12 days to go.

Had the driveway reshaped today to make getting the boat out easier. An altercation with a neighbour ruined the rest of the day.

Mostly just hard won experience (I've built quite a few boats and done refits etc. on many more). Unfortunately I could not leave the diesel tanks out and they are making getting to some area's aft a real pain. I better not put on any weight else I'll never be able to get there again.

A pox on all uncooperative neighbors.

Well, if you choose to live ashore, these are the inconveniences you have to put up with.  The rest of us pull up the hook and b..... off when we encounter that sort of neighbour!

    You're up very late Annie.:)

My sympathies, I'm busy doing exactly the same sort of tricks. I have left the salon table out until I launch, just to make things a little easier.

Well, if it weren't it would be called foresight, wouldn't it? Which alas, is rarely 20/20 vision!

So true Annie. Today as I lay on my side wedged between the port settee and the table with my head in the bilge while holding a drill with a right angle drive in one hand and the moisture detecting bilge pump switch in other...I did think...this could have been better organised.
