I came across one of those for sale last night at a reasonable price. What does yours weigh Gary?
Space to put it is my main problem, hence the idea to build a stack n stow.

Annie what's stopping me is the $200-300 I will need for the materials. Paying work has dropped off a bit and my recent haulout consumed the few $$ I had.At the moment my income is covering my berthing fees and not a lot else but this will change. I just have to be a little patient. I like that sampan it looks dead simple to build. I've saved the page.

    It's the same but I still need/want a dinghy...the EPIRB can wait.

Yeah but with my luck they will. I still need a dinghy first anyway.

Anyway, came across a really cheap GPS and thought of you.

We're still short on some of the safety gear we are obliged to have onboard but we now have a Garmin H72 GPS on long term loan.
Spent six months or so in Qld, with an Oz rego boat and the Authorities (mercifully) never checked us once.
