Back in 1991 I was contacted by one owner of a North Atlantic 29, in California, Jim Dietz. The boat, "Sirius" was built from GRP by Bounty Enterprises. We kept in contact for a few years, at the end of the before e-mail age. He put his boat for sale in 1999 and we have not been in contact since then.

Only a month after JRA NL 30 landed in my briefcase (8.9.95), did two letters arrive from America, one from well-known JRA-member Jim/James Creighton in Canada, and one  -  the day after  -  from David Chamberlin in Fairbanks, Alaska, USA.

You know the story of Jim Creighton' s boat. Mr. Chamberlin's boat was of GRP. He was working on it during summer holidays. I don't know what happened later to that one. It was a 'project' at that time.

That's all I know.

They are actually very rare. The Aussies boat you refer to was not built by Bounty Enterprises but a custom build in eastern Canada. There might have been 3(?) fiberglass NA 29's built by Bounty in CA and then there was the wooden one from which they built the mold. I've seen one of the fiberglass versions in Hawaii.
