It's sort of "one or two projects" at a time really. Last year saw among other things the Maurice Griffiths hatch, nicked of course from Cruising under Sail. Being largely built from scrap it would always give me a chuckle when passing by the local swindlery. Afterwards however I discovered Easy Go using exactly the same design.

Another example for convergent evolution on Benford dories seems to be the outboard well solution. Not sure I'm entirely happy with mine. Reckon it might need some more tinkering.

Welcome to the club Patrick. Yes we all know about "progress has slowed down a bit due to the usal (funds and being ham fisted)" yes indeed :-) but a (wo)man has to do what a (wo)man has to. So just stick at it, we have all gone through this. The end results is worth it.

One of the great things about this site, you can be sure that everyone here is rooting for you and wishes you well with your project. We all want to hear about what you are doing and we all a willing to help and advise to be limit of our abilities when needed.

Hey Patric - I knew another Tin Hau and assumed that she was yours (how lazy am I not to have checked it out!).  Good to hear that you also have a Benford dory and I hope you will soon be off enjoying her again.

    I knew what you meant.
That sounds a disaster! In Aust a wireless account is 2 to 3Gb for that kind of money..

Eking, of course, how stupid of me.  Blame my mate who had welcomed me back to my marina berth with a bottle of wine.  I think he'd been a bit worried about me in all that wind!

MBs - megabytes.  You lucky chaps in USA don't have this sort of problem.  We have very slow, very expensive Internet down here in South Island, NZ.  I can go into the library to get on line, but then have to spend good daylight hours inside.  So I invested in a dongle from Vodafone and for $30, get 512MB.  This is not a lot and is meant to last a month.  Watching You Tube is definitely not a good way to go, but even modest surfing can hammer the usage.

Come the 13th, I'm into a new month, but when I last checked I only had 49MB left!
