    Yes I indeed used Flickr but any web based file host will do. Since it now says "you can use basic HTML tags" I assumed that this option had now been turned on and hey presto!

    Flickr makes things very easy by letting you grab the necessary html code from the "share" box. Just copy paste it. :)

    here too). Mine has a plug and space above the well (but still 
    below the deck) to store an outboard when not in use.

    re: exhaust fumes
    I'm hoping, though not too sure, that a near new 4 stroke outboard 
    wouldnt put fumes into the well, since the exhaust outlet is below 
    the waterline. (My old 2 stroke has exhaust below the WL, but still 
    started in a cloud of blue smoke..)

    Yes, I figured it, too!
    Basically, you need a web-based photo album such as Flickr, Picasa or similar. In Picasa, there is, to one side: "Link to this photo", "Embed image" and "select size". If you select 400px, then copy the long string of characters that you find in this box, and use the link button in the toolbar to paste this string of characters, adding a link to the photo in Picasa, the image should appear:

    There must be something similar in Flickr, that Patric used, and in other web photo albums.

    main problems I see:

    - controls are very difficult to get at and the o/b position right underneath doesn't really lend itself to using a traditional remote either

    - the exhaust fumes have nowhere to go from under the boat than back into the well itself. Being heavier than air they'll build up and choke the engine.

    - the above could theoretically be solved by either plugging the well or by building a dedicated fresh air intake for the engine. Both solutions have their problems though.

    You have an outboard well? I have just finished mine, and now working on the outboard locker above it. You should upload some pics of yours to your profile.
    I am building one of those 'leak proof' hatches - though I know they arent 'leak proof' with a foot of green water over them..
