I agree with Richard-  what a voyage! This boat looks excellent and almost bomb-proof in appearance: really strong.  The wind-vane self steering mount looks solid.

The sail seems to have been sewn in an interesting way, with certain panels made up of quite small sections.  Almost like a patchwork.  Whereas other panels seem to have seams that run in horizontal sections along the battens.

This JRA forum is so useful to draw our attention to documents like this that would otherwise be missed, at least by me.

As a fellow 20-foot junk sailor, these voyages of Robin's are inspirational.

Thank you very much for this video. The boat and its refinements look very familiar or relevant to me, and I'll be studying this carefully.

What a great trip!  I do wish he'd write it up for the magazine, but can understand it must be an issue, writing in another language.  What is even more impressive, is that he did all this in a 20ft boat.  I think that is so inspiring.

Yesterday I was in Copenhagen Denmark and visit an older cool find at 69 years ( Robin Fröberg) to see his Havsfidra  with Junk Rig.

He has just taken the trip from Helsinki in Finland, south of Sweden. Up through Øresund to the Hardangerfjord in Norway. Then to Thyborøn and through the limfjord and across to Varbjerg in Sweden, and then to Copenhagen before the trip goes south over Sweden and home.

A trip of 3500 - 3800 miles. He took the same trip 2 years ago. You can watch the video here:
