My boat China Girl is based in the Tamar. Haven't been aboard much this summer. Working 'til 11th Aug, then helping a friend sail K26 Chopsticks back to Plymouth from Norfolk broads.

After that (3rd week August?) I'd be glad to give you a sail in and/or around Plymouth. Let me know what suits.

Hi Chris. Thank you - this sounds great.  I will be in touch later in August. Thanks again. John.

Look up Ivory Gull. I'm free most of this summer!

Ivory Gull is looking trim with her new sails and a dinghy on the davits.

Hi Clive. Thank you for getting in touch. I have replied to your message.  I look forward to chatting to you.  Thanks again, John.

John, there a number of resources you can use on the site to help you here.

    • I suggest you have a look at the New Members' Area
    • This will take you via a link to a search set up so that you can find someone in your area willing to give a sail on their boat so that you can experience junk rig
    • the Membership list, where you can download a spreadsheet showing members by county.

Many of our members look at the website, but only a few actually post.  More than a few don't really enjoy computer technology, so if you want to go sailing, you may find it worthwhile to be a little proactive, here.

Hi All.  I have been very interested in a junked rigged yacht for my young family for a long time.  It would be fantastic to go out sailing on a junk rigged boat so I can get a better understanding of the rig and its advantages.  Does any one sail a junk rigged yacht out of South Devon. If so I would love to come for a sail and would be very grateful. I may even be of use!

Let me know . Thanks!  John. 07983855099
