Whoo-hoo!  What fun!  It will really give you that extra incentive to do the final work on your boat.  Just what you need.  It sounds like you've been working hard - I bet you can hardly wait to go sailing your own boat.  Have a wonderful time - it will be just brilliant.

    Thanks Annie!

You are exactly right about incentive.  Preparing for this trip has been very inspiring.

I took a look at your files yesterday . The new boat is looking FAB!!!!

    Off to the airport!

    Hello fellow Junkies!

Sorry I've been so quiet on here the last few months. I have been working like a dog on my North Atlantic 29 (and  been busy with other aspects of my life as well) … and she is showing some real progress!

When I bought her , she needed a complete re-do. Every system needed attention.

A small list of things already done:

    rebuilt the interior

installed a water tank , plumbing , built cabinetry (berth , bookshelves , galley, etc )

    installed shore power

new Stainless Boom Gallows 95% done.

She is now a cozy , floating home , and next up is :

finishing installing the 2 new fuel tanks and getting the engine running again.

Then ….. Voila! I have a sailboat again!

I'm taking a little break … to do my first ocean crossing on a friend's boat!!!!

(unfortunately not a junk …. but , you can't have everything)

We fly tomorrow to La Paz , Mexico , where we will provision and sail his Cal 36 to Hawaii.

I am VERY excited!!! And , very much looking forward to gaining this much needed experience.

I'll post pictures of the trip …AND my NA29 upon my return.

    best,

    Jonny
