    Well done, Jeff!  She looked great, once I had turned my netbook on end to look at the photos. 

    Sadly, you can't manipulate the pics within the website (as far as I know).  What you need to do is to send them through some simple photo program and save them in the portrait format.  Unfortunately, most simple photo programs obligingly show you the photo the right way up, but don't save them that way.  Mine doesn't, so what I do is to rotate the photo left and right and then save it.  That way it reproduces in my albums as a portrait shot.

    Laura and I took our boat out Monday for the first time. Setup at the ramp was about 30 minutes. I'm pleased with this as my goal was to build a rig that is convenient and user friendly. The taberrnacle/ bulkhead checked out fine and I have great confidence in its structural integrity. The winds were light on Stave Lake but we were sailing and having a great time. You will notice if you look at the pictures in my photo album that there is a pretty extreme tack angle to the rig. This is inherent of the use of a recycled Genoa and part of the jib to make the sail. I do however have 2 reefs and I devised a simple tensioner/downhaul  considering less than desirable batten stacking. It is after all a hardware store build completed in 3 weeks for under $1000. Thank you all for the advice and support . It has been a learning experience.  We will  sail Amber this summer and next winter will be the time to design and build a proper  cambered sail ,and perhaps learn how  to rotate pictures  on the forum lol.
