Columbia 26 mk2? I think that design would look very interesting with a JR, I've thought about it a few times when I've seen one for sale.

There's a lot of people in the area who have done a conversion of their own; on your side of the border there's someone on Orcas Is if I recall correctly.

    Hello,

I am searching for a boat yard or individual in the Puget Sound that has experience doing junk conversions. My partner (cough cough the boss) has decided we would be better served having someone with experience install the mast for our Columbia 26. She has seen the look I get when clutching a sawzall, and fears the worst. Considering we are two quite small people living aboard the boat, She is probably correct, considering how bad things can go if I mess it up. Considering how much it rains here, it is critical to complete the job in a timely fashion. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Jim
