Thanks for the update, Roger. Perhaps your next voyage could be a circumnavigation of the UK, nay the world, with a talk in every port so that most members could get to see and hear you.

The Royal Corinthian tells me there are lots booked in for the talk - 50+ at the moment, but how many from the JRA is impossible to say.

Efforts will be made to video the talk, but no promises as to the quality (of either the filming or the talk itself...).

Mark, see issue 62 of our Magazine for an article 'The Making of Ming Ming II Part 1'. Part 1, which was also listed in our 'New Articles' panel on the Members' Area page. Part II is in our February magazine #64 which is due out soon.

I had the chance to see #64 last night (quick bit of proof reading) and it is perhaps the best issue yet.

Roger, can you update us on what sort of response you've had from members re the talk, and indeed progress re having it video'd?

I would love to attend but living on the Isle of Mull it would be some journey. I would particularly like to pick Rogers brains on the details of the construction of that brilliant sail on Mingming11. Perhaps an article is in the offing???
     Best wishes to you Roger

    Hi Roger

Nice to hear. As I said, I am totally OK with paying fees, if you feel like it.

Antoine, there is a good possibility that the talk will be filmed.

Hi Allain. I've emailed Roger to bring your suggestion to his notice. I'm sure he'll answer here. The event is being run by the RCYB in Burnham so is beyond the JRA's control. Great idea, though!

    Hi

I wish I could attend such a talk but coming from la Ciotat, south of France would not be easy.
Is there a way to make a video of the talk (one standing camera, one micro, keeping it simple) for us foreigners ? Off course, paying the fees .

Member/author Roger Taylor sent the following email today:

    Dear Brian

I have attached a poster for a public talk I am giving about Mingming II at Burnham-on-Crouch next month. It may well be of interest to East Coast junk rig enthusiasts, of which there are quite a few. If you think it may be of interest perhaps there may be some way of putting it up on the website.

    Best wishes for 2014.

    Kind regards

    Roger

I've recreated the poster on our Join In > External Events and Projects page. Hope that's OK, Roger, and that places fill up soon.
