Thanks Kevin. I’m so looking forward to finally sailing my own junk-rig. It’s been a long time coming!

It’s a lovely blog, Neil, thanks and it led me to your first book, Foolish Voyage, available on Kindle for very little and free if you have the Kindle subscription.  Well worth a read.  I was fascinated by your introduction to the junk rig, and amazed you came back to sailing after your rescue in Biscay.

I think the letter "g" is missing in the website link, anyway it won't open. Try editing the link, Neil.

I'm currently working to get my Newbridge Coromandel 'Sólmara' ready to go sailing again.

    Sólmara was built in 1982

    • Hull number: 8257
    • Sail Number: 17

Some members might know the boat. She's previously been 'Missy Moto', 'Little Min' and 'Minim'.

I'm in touch with Kurt who owned her as 'Minim'. If any previous owners are still out there I'd love to learn more about her history.

You can see how I'm getting on at http://www.sailingsolmara.com
