    Hi Michael,

I am sorry to have given You this aluminium mast info, when I bought my mast it was a thriving business with a big building with lots of masts inside. The ownerwas elderly in 2015 and most probably he has passed away and his business is also gone. Hopefulle You get a reply from the Dutch aluminium company.

    Hi Michael,

I bought my 7 metre aluminium mast in the Year 2015 in Germany from the following company which is not too far away from France. I got good service from this company and solved everything on the phone even the special masthead I wanted for the junk rig and then I went to fetch it and transported it on my roof carrier of a normal 4,5 m long car home across Germany back to Austria. I was not sure if this was really legal but the owner of the FK-Mastbau told me on the phone when I ordered the mast that I must just mount a red flag at the end of the mast and it is only allowed to go to the Front of the car while it can stick out at the back. I was glad that I made it fine over 800 km with a long piece of mast sticking out behind my car. Right now their home page is not active anymore on which I found my mast.  You could try contacting them per email.

    Hi Michael,

when converting Ilvy, I had good luck contacting directly Nedal in the Netherlands. It took them some time to answer (4-5 weeks), but then they forwarded to me a contact of a german subsupplier (alfa Masten) which was happy to sell me the raw aluminium pole for a good price. I took the 12m/ 177mm one, but they also offered a 15m/ 220mm one. Looks like the bigger one would suit your needs.

Maybe you try Nedal, too, or alternatively alfa Masten.

    Cheers,

    Paul

    Hello

I'm looking for aluminum (aluminium?) masts for my boat.  Originally outfitted with solid douglas fir masts, they are rotted and absolutely unfit.  I would prefer to have aluminum masts because (a) weight reduced aloft, and (b) they are more easily sealed at the mast boot.

I have a schooner, so I need two masts.  Each needs to be 210mm to 220mm at the foot, and 110mm to 115mm at the head.  Wall thickness of each should be a minimum of 5mm.  The mainmast is 14 meters long and the foremast is 13.5 meters long.

I am located in Castelsarrasin, Tarn et Garonne, Occitanie, France.

Numerous searches have been made online and the best prospects were roadside light poles.  However, each time I contacted someone I either received no return response, or I was told that they would not sell to me because the couldn't determine if my use would satisfy them from a product safety standpoint.

So, I'm throwing this out to the group.  Anyone have any leads on a source that might help?

    Thanks.
