Congratulations, Ted - only started sailing myself - and in a Newbridge Venturer - a few short years ago.  Just sold it a couple of months ago to a wonderful couple in West of Ireland.  The JRA member who sold it to me was most courteous and had gathered lots of more or less random material for or about the boat or similar boats.  Some of the stuff in this folder might be of use as reference material.  https://1drv.ms/f/s!Ak8WJ46B9Dx0zz1ZNU-LaXBb5ciL

    and on rigging

And finally, for an explanation of all those ropes, try the Introduction to the Junk Rig YouTube series at https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOr-IRC0TvPjS4j9YdU6b4KC2dydqACkO - especially parts 2 and 3:  it won’t tell you anything that is not in Practical Junk Rig, but sometimes it’s easier to see something on a video.  Email me if any Venturer specific questions just in case I might have some info

Just watching episode 12 "getting the sail ready" - takes the expression "messing about in boats" to a whole new level!

    Seriously though - delightful.

    Hi all

At the age of 73 i decided i would like to learn to sail and l found a Newbridge Venture Junk rig sailing boat near me. I keep it at Stalham on the Norfolk Broads UK if there is any body in the the area who would like help me l would be grateful.

You can follow my journey about buying the boat, learning all about Junk Rig sails and hopefully on how to sail on Barton Broad and eventually out at Sea.
