Thanks for the vote of confidence Hans-Erik - and for the link! I'll contact them on Monday. Looks like it's got lots of potential, and we have plenty of dark, long winter nights up here in Shetland to spend refurbishing the interior!

I can't get the Sarum 28 out of my mind as a potential junk rig conversion. As a junk rig newbie, I don't know enough about the subject to know whether this is a brilliant idea or a terrible one but the combination of aluminium construction for high-latitude sailing plus bilge keels and a lowish purchase price seems irresistible...
