    Origami ply would mean heaps of scarfing for a big boat.

    It's also interesting that they are using the origami method for a huge boat. I keep wondering why I don't hear about origami plywood/epoxy boats, it's as easy as, or easier than, origami in steel. My 9ft dinghy is made that way, and I see no difficulty in scaling up the principle to cruising boat size.
