    Hi Patric,

Since this boats have been built in years 1967 up to 1973 I doubt you can get the CE conformity certificate. You may consider, as EU resident, to register your boat under the Polish flag, still EU, less formalities and no obligatory  technical inspection or renewals.

I have recently registered my new build by myself boat, as well as helped to register boats for my two Portuguese and one Hungarian sailors. If interested contact me at kris@kmatuszewski.eu . This will take about a months, since the Polish sworn translation  documents is necessary. First you will get the electronic temporary certificate, then the hard plastic copy will be issued.

    Hi Patrick,

I would suggest that the best place to start may be Moody's. They are still in business and I am sure it will not be the first time they have come across this problem, so they will know what to do/provide for the French authorities.

    All the best.

    David.

    Hello to all of you.
I thought I coud expose my problem in this forum, I hope it is not misplaced.
I have bought a junk rigged 36' Moody Haberdier in te UK (Glasgow) and sailed it down to France, of which I am a citizen.
The french maritime authorities ask me for a "certificat de conformité", meaning a proof of conformity. I suppose it is the document issued by the yacht builder, stating that the boat is up to its description, seaworthy, number of passengers, etc.
Unfortunately the former owner has not given it to me and is not of any help.
Does anyone of you know where I could get this document for my boat? No need to mention the junk rig modification, french maritine affairs are already to complicated.
Thanks to all who can help me.
I am also looking for any information and history about this vessel, named "China Blue" (see https://www.junkrigassociation.org/noticeboard_forum/4705798).

    Thanks to all,
    Patrick
