This may look wierd: the letter 'ewe' is not working on my laptop so I am typing a y instead (sorry!)
At last! All the work on Bobtail is finished and laynched... I took her for her first trials yesterday in a Force 6, apart from a few teething snags i noticed she is very very relyctant to tack... she tends to head yp to wind and then stalls. I think it may be becase the mast is not raked back far enoygh .... before repositioning it (potentially a big job) any advice on improving this by adjysting the sails? i.e.setting the sail position fyrther forward or back ysing the lyff parrels to tilt it ? etcetc ?
PS The Colvic watson 22 is renowned for not pointing well, with a bilge type keel lleeway inevitable... I keep thinking a small yawl arrangement on the stern might be a vast improvement byt not syre how big the sail area shoyld be in relation to the main.... is there any calclation or rogh yardstick for this?
