Hello everyone and thank you for proposing such an interesting site.
I apologize for writing to you with the help of a translator but I know too few English words unfortunately.
I need your experiences. I build a mast made of an alloy tube and a GPR mast top. My question is the following:
Does the mast (tube) fit in its mast step as it is, or do you install inside the mast step a rigid sole between the tube and the bottom of the mast step?
I find the tube sharp-cutting and i wonder if, when the boat hits the hollow of the waves, from top to bottom, little by little the tube would not sharp-cut the bottom of the mast step? I speak particularly to people who have a tube or a candelabrum for mast and who made their wooden mast step.
I hope I have succeeded in making myself understood. Thank you in advance for your valuable answers.
