Gosh, but you are doing a truly excellent job of building this boat.  Well done.

That's pretty. Finishing has always been the hardest part for me. I tend to end up with "work boat" finish on my projects... that looks good if the viewer is at least 10 feet back :)

Main and fore deck now done. 10 mm okume plywood plus 15 mm of lycell core, covered with two layers of  1,5 oz matt and one layer of 10 oz cloth using polyester. Where there is wood only, there is an extra layer of matt, fastened with silicon bronze ring shank nails at 10 cm intervals. Rubrails doubled up.

This winter I’ll be working on the interior. Next spring I’ll continue with the aft deck/cockpit/outboard well/lazarette.

I’ve put up a little video on the junk rig facebook page, where you can get a feel of the interior.

You will have a very pretty boat soon. The topsides look great.

    Thanks for sharing.

Foam layer on the deck in place and just about ready to glass.

Mast partners block shaped for a 4,5 degree forward rake.

Total thickness of deck and block at the partners, about 9 cm.

Daggerboard case and mast offset to starboard

    Thanks Annie.

Hard to visualize the final result though, being close up in the tent. Got a peek at her looks when turning the hull, which was nice.

Shallow draft with standing headroom in the cabin area. Lots of freeboard there. Form follows function.

I’m counting on some smart color scheme to get it right. You nailed it with Fanshi.

She's looking really good.  What an attractive profile she is going to have.

A little update on the HF34. First layer of 10 mm okume ply in place. Extra ply in lieu of daggerboard case and on both sides of the companionway where the winches will be.

Next layer will be 14 mm foam core, glued on top of the ply deck.

Mast offset approx. 5” to starboard, forward of the daggerboard case.

Mocking up some of the placement of mast partners, witches and anchor stuff. Just because I can....
