The boat will be built at Quanzhou (ancient name: Citong) where the wreck was excavated and displayed. Archaeolgical relics displayed in the museum showed that the ship has been to Africa and Arabia 800 years ago. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quanzhou_Maritime_Museum
The build will take about 2 months. JRA members are welcomed to come and join us at any stage and test sail with us upon completion. In order to maintain archaeological integrity, we will be using bamboo sails with 2 masts. (although single mast is more reasonable for a boat of 7.5m LOA)
Can anyone suggest the position of lead distance (ie CE in front of CLR)?
