    Hi all

A few will know I've just bought Trivial Pursuit and I'm looking to do a few jobs before towing over to Greece next year. It's due its annual lick on the bottom and was wondering what the thoughts were on copper versus more annual local antifoul paints?

I've read plenty and understand there is the added cost of time and money on copper, but will it be worth it in the end in Greece?

Option 1. I've been reading that local paint in the area being sailed is best, which saves me a lot of time, just a little organising once I get to Greece if I go for more annual based antifoul options.

Option 2. Go for a copper based product, meaning that I can paint before taking over to Greece in this glorious temperature. I have read a number of positive reviews of a few products, although I am sceptical of products with 'water' in them such as Synergy. Have they been producing their product longer than epoxy based AMC Copper Coat?

My gut feeling is option 1, nice weather, nice people to work with and simple tech, but I'm not adverse to option 2 if there was compelling argument from people off the site.

    Thanks all

    Andrew
