We're busily making a set of parts for all the bulkheads. At stations 3 & 4, the bulkheads take 2 1/2 sheets of plywood, and we'll be butt-strapping them together, with one butt incorporated into the bilgeboard case setup on the port side; the other butt will be in the doorway, so there will be two short butt straps only. At station 6, the companionway, the bulkhead is from two sheets of plywood, with their inner edges 610mm apart, forming the companionway and the access under the cockpit. At station 1, the bulkhead is still big enough to need to be made from two sheets, but at station 0, the bulkhead is much smaller, and will come out of half a sheet. At station 8, where the outboard is mounted, the bulkhead comes out of one sheet, on its side. At stations 2, 5 and 7, there is no point in making a permanent bulkhead in the setup, and we're making up temporary moulds from MDF, except for the piece under the cabin sole, which is acting as a floor, holding the two sides of the boat together.
