    I am building a yacht in Turkey it is a Boswell design 77 ft with three masts and the sails are wing sails with hinged carbon fibre battens. 


    The battens need to be light, strong and with limited flexibility. Carbon fibre is the logical solution. 


    I thought members might be interested to know that having toyed with China and Alibaba I have sucessfully sourced this in Turkey with a company who have been  professional fast and economical. 


    It is a relatively new company based in Izmir by an individual with considerable experience in composites. 


    My own masts are of Aluminium Pipes also Turkish but this company will soon be able to produce CF lengths of 20m and multiples thereof. 


    I have no pecuniary interest in the company but would be happy to pass on the company’s details.
