Steven, could something like this make sense?

Mast height and placement are functions of the sail design (among other things).
In my search for a kingfisher 20 or 20+ JR i have come across 2 Kingfisher 20+ yachts that are just the standard rig. One has a complete set of sails, the other has none. Has anyone on here converted a 20+ to a junk rig? I am not a boat builder so excuse my iignorance. It would appear that I would need to buy a new mast and sail and step the new mast further forward into the fore cabin. Would I need to put a lot of reinforcing into the roof where the mast comes down through? Does anyone know how long the mast would need to be and more to the point where I would get one? I also have no idea of the size of sail. Finally am I better off waiting for a 20-22ft JR yacht coming on th emarket?
