Thanks for that suggestion. There would seem to be a couple of ways of doing it:
1 Your JRA profiles already contain fields (and more can be added if necessary) for entering such information in the existing 'masts' section. Keeping it there would mean that members wouldn't just have a single database to keep up to scratch, and you'd be in control of your own data. It should be easy to export selected fields to create comparison tables, though I haven't tried that yet. David may well done so.
2 Create a datasheet/spreadsheet and store it on Box. This would be easy to get started but shared documents (Box files are only available to members who want to get stuck into Box) are easily corrupted. You'd need to keep a regular backup.
The difficulty with both is that some members aren't too hot/keen on entering data as their profiles and our boat location maps show. So it's a good idea, but why reinvent the wheel when we have the profile system already? David, can you comment on this, please?
