Pete Hill and I visited Mandy today in Dorset (near Dorchester, UK) and had a good look over Gigi. It was irresistible not to persuade Mandy to advertise her here for you.

To help GIGI sail again soon I am posting this on Mandy's behalf.

This beautiful little boat is waiting to for you to take her sailing again. Robin spared no effort and expense (appx £33,000). She has been lightly used and is a real bargain to be snapped up for the summer season. Ready to go. Take her to the JRA AGM & Brixham Heritage Regatta in May.

Built by Swallow Boat in 2014, plywood epoxy water ballasted centerboard and lifting rudder.

    Complete with road trailer.

Mariner 5 (2 stroke outboard) fitting in a cockpit well.

    Hinged carbon fiber mast.

Chris Scanes cream terrylene sail with hinged alloy battens. Acrylic sail cover.

Sprayhood in stainless steel and acrylic.

    Fully equipped

    Dimensions metric / imperial:

    LOA: 6.17 m /  20.25'

    LOW: 5.67 m  / 18.6'

    Beam: 2.32 m  / 7.6'

    Draught: 0.25 m - 1.2 m  /  10" - 4'

    Weight - Empty Boat : 451 kg  / 990 lbs

    Weight - Water Ballast : 380 kg  / 836 lbs

Double V berth in a bow (shelf forward) + 1 quarter berth (to port)

Galley counter with a single burner gas cooker (to port)

Settee & stowage shelf behind (to starboard)

Folding table over the centerboard case

    Generous sitting headroom

    Stowage under the bunks

Either when seated in her surprisingly large and comfortable cockpit or when going forward along the side decks (with raised gunwalls) you will feel as if you are on a well thought out and designed little ship.  A real pocket cruiser that you can tow anywhere you want to go sailing!

Price £11,000 - or very near offer.

Robin would be very thrilled to see her sailing again soon.

    Swallow Yachts  Check them out!

The Baycruiser 20 is no longer in production but the slightly bigger Baycruiser 23 is priced at £42,000 (without the junk rig!)

This traditional looking trailer sailer is a gem of a little ship. She is a sheer pleasure to be on and exudes roominess and seaworthiness.

I have heard from Mandy that Gigi is still for sale.  With summer just around the corner, I'd have thought she'd have been snapped up by now!

Hi Annie, just before you posted, I have been in contact with Mandy.

To all: I was interested in Gigi, but there is a trailer problem: I can´t tow Gigi anywhere because I am not allowed to use the british trailer (I am from Germany). So I offered to bring my own trailer but Mandy only wants to sell the unit as a whole. If there was a helpful hand who helps with the load and sells the british trailer for me I would try again making an offer.

I am happy to inform the J.R.A. that Gigi has been sold and will shortly be going to Pembrokeshire where she will be sailing on the Cleddau Ddu and around the coast, a part of the UK that Robin and I had lovely holidays.
