A broker friend of mine has just listed this boat https://openoceanmarine.co.nz/boat/kura-8-2m-centreboard-yacht/.

She was designed as a cat rigged boat so has a mast position ideally suited for junk rig and would make a very easy conversion project. She is located in Whangarei and can be viewed by appointment with the broker.

Interesting looking boat, David.  Ideal for one of our members who is wanting a JR boat, there being somewhat of a shortage of junks for sale at present!  Astonishing that Sam doesn't state what year it is: I would think he's asking top dollar for such a boat, personally, with small boat sales being in the state that they are.

Here is the link, to save people from having to copy and paste.

    Annie,

I believe she was built in the late nineties. It is an asking price and I am sure that he will consider offers.

    David.

The price on Kura has been dropped to $9,800.00. She starts to look very inviting at this price.

Very similar to my old boat, good size and with mast already in the right position the ideal first boat/junk rig.
