    Oryx is a 33' ply/epoxy catamaran built by Pete Hill to a modified Bernd Kohler design, launched in 2012.

    Side by side Aero Junk rig. 2 double cabins, 1 single cabin.

    At present cruising in French Polynesia and sailing to NZ in Nov. 2017.

    I think Pete just likes building boats.  He told me last year that he was very happy with Oryx but that he was interested in building at least one more boat.  It will be interesting to see what it turns out to be.

    And he has unfinished business in high latitudes.  But I think he may buy again, this time.

    So very tempting, nearly my perfect boat - just a bit too big, too expensive and the other side of the world!

    For a single-hander, the standard KD860  would be better suited for me - even then bigger than I need.  About double my budget, but then I am selling the house next year, maybe I will have a generous offer!   ..... And then a trip to NZ would be quite an adventure.

    So best of luck Pete - expect she will be sold well before I am ready.

    Pete has flown to Florida to take over a new-to-him boat and left Oryx here in New Zealand.  To me has fallen the task of trying to find a new owner for her.

    The price is reduced to GBP42,000, so come on Mark, what are you waiting for: you said Pelican isn't enough boat?  You can't say Oryx is too big - the hulls forward of the masts do nothing apart from provide buoyancy!
