I've been in discussion with the owner of a ferrocement yacht displacing around 12 tons, who wishes to sell a complete junk schooner rig of 684 sq ft; masts, spars, cordage and sails, the whole shooting match. It is a standard H/McL rig, lightly used since it was first fitted 4 years ago. Located in Falmouth Harbour, UK.

I've tried and failed to make it fit aboard my Wylo 32, mainly because the centreboard case prevents the mainmast being stepped amidships where it belongs. It is therefore up for grabs for an owner wishing to convert to junk.

Good thinking, Annie. Yes I have, but the length of the main boom would dictate a mainmast position right up in the eyes of the ship, where the motion is most extreme and bury barely adequate. It is a Needlespar, 6" diameter. I envisage going to windward, like Ol' Brer Rabbit:  "lookin' like ev'ry moment wuz gwine te be de nex' ".  

Stepping it further aft might be slightly better, but then the companionway sliding hatch would be obstructed by the mizzen mast. A real Chinese puzzle. I'm now beyond a tipping point with this project - I've ordered a couple of lamp posts, 90 sq metres of sailcloth and a sewing machine.
