Free carbon fibre masts from Freedom 33 cat ketch (Alaska!)

Not mine, but a freedom 33 cat ketch  owner in Alaska is scrapping his boat and is offering the carbon fibre masks for free. Sounds like a great deal for someone in North America, even including shipping.

Sailing-61-North wrote Looks like I will be scrapping my boat. A lot of wet core and not worth the time and cost. Hate to see the mast go to the dump. I will pull them if anyone is interested. Free but you will have to pay for the shipping from Alaska. I usually use a barge company from Tacoma to Anchorage. Actual dump run (scrapping) will not happen till May”

I'd like to ship that mast to Brisbane, Australia, as it would be ideal for ARION II, (12m  by 200mm), but I believe it would need to go in a container and cost anywhere between $3000 and $10,000.  Pity it could not just squeezed in somewhere, given how little space and weight it represents!  I guess I will have to just keep looking.  Sourcing a modestly priced mast is going to be the biggest hurdle to my conversion prospects.  I was going to send the guy a message anyway but could not get onto the Freedom website.

If searching for "cheap shipping from Alaska to Australia" doesn't yield any good results, you can cut the mast into pieces and then join them together after transport. I'm not saying slice it, but, for example, into 2-3 pieces. Maybe transport of such pieces would be cheaper?
