Shoestring is one of the coolest liveaboards you might find. Great ambiance that always gets praised. 

She has a seriously spacious interior with huge galley, aft cabin and saloon. There is plenty of storage throughout. She’s cozy in winter thanks to a Little Cracker fireplace. The aft cabin measures 2.25m across at the head and a 1.25m at the foot, and it’s 2m long. Huge! 1.85m headroom in the saloon. The cockpit is nearly 9sqm with plenty of seating and storage.

I think Gordon is distracted with other matters at present, so I shall try to answer, because I know the boat fairly well. 

The mast is steel and was stepped about 10 years ago.  There were no signs of rust last time I was on board.

The keel is a long fin and the boat draws about a metre.  There is definitely no centreboard.  Indeed, I'm sure the plans don't show one, either.  Are you looking at the right boat? Designed by Gary  Underwood?
