Shoestring is one of the coolest liveaboards you might find. Great ambiance that always gets praised.

She has a seriously spacious interior with huge galley, aft cabin and saloon. There is plenty of storage throughout. She’s cozy in winter thanks to a Little Cracker fireplace. The aft cabin measures 2.25m across at the head and a 1.25m at the foot, and it’s 2m long. Huge! 1.85m headroom in the saloon. The cockpit is nearly 9sqm with plenty of seating and storage.

Shoestring is easy to sail and can tuck in close with shallow draft.

If you’re looking for a comfortable live aboard vessel, Shoestring is worth serious consideration.

Any additional info on the mast? Also, the plans mention a centerboard, can you confirm yours does not have that? Thanks.

I think Gordon is distracted with other matters at present, so I shall try to answer, because I know the boat fairly well.

The mast is steel and was stepped about 10 years ago.  There were no signs of rust last time I was on board.

The keel is a long fin and the boat draws about a metre.  There is definitely no centreboard.  Indeed, I'm sure the plans don't show one, either.  Are you looking at the right boat? Designed by Gary  Underwood?
